전주국제영화제는 러시아의 우크라이나 침공을 반대합니다.

지난 2월 24일부터 러시아는 우크라이나 전역을 미사일과 탱크를 비롯한 대량 인명 살상 무기로 공격하고 있습니다. 이로 인해 우크라이나에서는 많은 민간인 사상자가 발생했습니다.

주권 침해의 아픔을 겪은 바 있는 우리 공동체, 나아가 국제사회의 일원으로서 전주국제영화제는 러시아의 침공을 강력히 규탄합니다. 이러한 종류의 폭력은 어떤 상황에서도 정당화될 수 없습니다.

전주국제영화제는 우크라이나의 주권 및 영토 보존의 의지, 민주주의에의 열망을 강력히 지지하며, 국가의 일방적 결정에 반대 목소리를 내기 시작한 러시아 현지 영화인, 예술인, 국민들의 용기 또한 지지합니다.

우크라이나 국민의 무사와 안녕을 기원합니다.

JEONJU International Film Festival is against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Since February 24, 2022, Russia has been attacking Ukraine with Weapons of Mass Destruction(WMD), including missiles and tanks. The ongoing attack has resulted in many civilian casualties in Ukraine.

As a member of our community, and the international community, which has suffered from the infringement of sovereignty, JEONJU International Film Festival strongly condemns the invasion of Russia. This kind of violence cannot be justified in any circumstance.

JEONJU International Film Festival strongly supports for Ukraine to respect sovereignty and territory, democracy, and also supports the courage of Russian local filmmakers, artists, and people who have begun to speak out against the unilateral decision of the nation.
